The Inspection Program for Specialized Public Procurement Organizations

This is a program in which the inspection of the publicly procured items of the Public Procurement Service is done by specialized testing agencies (government-certified testing agencies.)

Legal basis

The inspection of the publicly procured items is outsourced in accordance with Articles 3-3 and 7 of the Act on the Public Procurement Business.

The composition and rates of the fees for inspections

Items Charging criteria Related regulations
Base fee The actual cost of receiving, reviewing, providing human-resource support, and issuing of the testing and inspection applications (base fee: 180,000 won, without VAT) Article 34 on the Operational Rules on the Inspections by Specialized Inspection Agency for Publicly Procured Goods
Wage for testers The wage for the specialized technicians in industrial factory fields as per the engineering industry-standard compensation rates (per day) Article 34 on the Operational Rules on the Inspections by Specialized Inspection Agency for Publicly Procured Goods
Travel cost As per the civil servants' travel expenses for grade five or higher officers in accordance with the Rules on the Travel Expenses of Civil Servants. Article 34 on the Operational Rules on the Inspections by Specialized Inspection Agency for Publicly Procured Goods
Test Fee To be calculated by applying the test fee rate for the test item (by the name of the item). (Apply a 20% discount to the fee announced by the head of the independent testing agency.)
