Overview
According to Article 40 (2) of the Enforcement Rules of the Tourism Promotion Act, the inspection to check safety status of amusement facilities or machines with the following cases;
- A person who intends to engage in an ordinary/general amusement facility business
- A person(a person who has been operating amusement facility business) who newly introduces or relocates amusement facilities or machines
- A person(a person who has been operation amusement facility business) who remodels amusement facilities or machines that may have a significant impact on safety
* For new installations, a request for safety inspection(with Confirmatory Inspection) for amusement facilities or machines should be submitted to KTC after receiving a judgment as to whether it is amusement facilities or machines by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Inspection process
A person(a person who intends to obtain permission for an amusement facility business or has been operating such a business) that wishes to receive Permission Inspection shall
submit an application form and the following documents to KTC by no later than 60 days from the completion of installation;
- The procedural documents for operation, repair and maintenance
- A detailed drawing and overall assembly drawing of the amusement facilities or machines
- Structural calculation sheet (not applicable to those that are not structures, such as an inflatable play equipment)
- Electrical circuit diagram, hydraulic and pneumatics diagram (if such circuits are in place)
- The history management card for amusement facilities or machines in accordance with Annex 2 of the notice (for mobile or temporarily installed amusement facilities or machines only)
- Other drawings and documents to review safety
