Article 27 (A change of the certification body), KS Certification Operation Guideline
Process
- 1. If a certified person wishes to change the certification body that certified her (hereinafter referred to as the original certification body), the person shall prepare a written request for a change of certification body and submit it to the certification body that she wishes to change to.
- 2. The change assessment for a change of certification body shall be a factory inspection as per Paragraph 1, Item 2 under Article 24 of the Decree. However, if it is believed that the verification of the quality of products is necessary, it is possible that a full or partial product test can be conducted as part Paragraph 2, Item 2, under Article 24 of the Decree.
No change of certification body
- 1. During an ongoing regular inspection, etc., currently being conducted by the original certification body as per Item 2, Article 27 (A change of the certification body), KS Certification Operation Guideline (the change is not permitted until the work that is currently in progress is completed.)
- 2. KS Q 8001 (KS certification program - the general requirements for product certification) Item 7.4(b)
- If a regular assessment or a relocation assessment has been going on for a day or longer and is still in progress.
- When there is an official letter giving an administrative order (scheduled), including the order to remove markings, or such an administrative measure is still being taken.
- A chance is given to submit a comment for cancellation of certification, and the said action has not been taken yet, or such related improvements have not been completed.
- There is an ongoing civil, criminal, or administrative lawsuit in progress with regard to KS certification.
