Follow-up audit
- After obtaining the initial halal certificate, companies are subject to regular follow-up audits.
- The follow-up audit is to assess the effectiveness of the company's halal assurance system, including internal audit and management review, correction of non-conformities, and changes.
- Follow-up audits are conducted every one year, and the certificate remains valid only after the follow-up audit in accordance with the follow-up cycle.
- Depending on the system maturity of the company, the follow-up cycle may be adjusted.
Renewal Audit (Renewal Process)
- This is a three-yearly audit when the certificate is due to expire and is the same as the process for new Halal certification.
