Held on the 18th at 1:30 PM both online and offline for interested companies at the 15th floor of KTL Academy.
Provided practical information on certification standards and major defect cases in executable software, etc.
The Korea Testing Certification (KTC, President Sung-il Ahn) announced the holding of a joint seminar on the GS (Good Software) certification with five institutions on the 18th.
The seminar took place on June 18 at 1:30 PM in the 15th-floor lecture room of the Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL) Academy, jointly organized by KTC, KTL, the Korea Information and Communication Technology Association (TTA), the Busan IT Convergence Component Research Institute (CIDI), and the Korea Testing and Research Institute (KTR).
The seminar was conducted both offline and online for companies wishing to obtain GS certification.
The main programs included introductions to the GS certification system and organizations, explanations of certification standards for product manuals, user handling instructions, and executable software products, and descriptions of major defect cases discovered during testing and evaluation.
GS certification is a system that awards a certification mark to software meeting the standards to ensure quality and promote distribution.
Obtaining GS certification provides institutional benefits, such as support for private contracts through third-party unit price agreements and registration in the National Marketplace, as well as designation as a preferred procurement target for public institutions.
This seminar was the second event following the first one held last September. This year, it was designed and conducted with a focus on providing practical help to companies, continuing from the previous year.
KTC President Sung-il Ahn stated, "KTC is the only domestic testing and certification institution operating an Information and Communication Business Division aimed at the information and communication industry, responding quickly to market demands."
He added, "We will continue to explore various ways to support companies in collaboration with related institutions."
