KTC Designated for Expanded Suitability Assessment Testing of Broadcasting and Telecommunications Equipment
Korea Testing Certification institute (KTC) announced on the 28th that it has been designated (KR006) by the National Radio Research Agency for the expanded suitability assessment testing of broadcasting and telecommunications equipment.
Due to the recent growth in the market for 5G specialized networks and the increasing demand in the field of wireless base stations, KTC has pursued the expansion of testing items in the wireless domain. This is aimed at ensuring the performance of products directly linked to the mobile communication quality for the public.
In addition to the expansion in the wireless domain, KTC has extended its Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) designation, which was previously limited to certain products in the United States. The extended designation covers wireless devices such as 5GHz Wi-Fi in the U.S. and NFC, wireless charging, Bluetooth, 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi in Canada. The test certificates issued by KTC are expected to be recognized in both the United States and Canada, thereby boosting export opportunities for local companies.
KTC is a leading internationally accredited testing and certification institute for wireless and electromagnetic fields related to various consumer products. It is also designated as an assessment testing organization for broadcasting and telecommunications equipment. KTC holds designations in various fields including wired, wireless, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electromagnetic intensity, and MRA (United States, Canada). Equipped with state-of-the-art analysis equipment and skilled experts, KTC conducts tests based on both domestic and international standards.
