KTC, the World’s No. 1 Testing Certification Institute Leading the Way to the 4th Industrial Revolution
Korea Testing Certification institute (KTC) announced on June 15th that it has been designated as an expanded testing and inspection institution for hygiene products by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) (No. 14, May 31, 2023).
As the hygiene product market has grown due to recent factors such as increased public awareness of hygiene during the COVID-19 pandemic and a rise in demand for food delivery, KTC has been working to expand the scope of testing and inspection for hygiene products. This expansion aims to ensure the safety of products that have a direct impact on public health, following its previous designation by the MFDS for food utensils, containers, and packaging.
With this new designation, KTC will have the capability to conduct testing and inspection of widely used hygiene products in daily life, including diapers and wet wipes. KTC will perform self-quality delegated testing and inspection, import inspections, and collection inspections to assess product compliance with chemical and microbial safety standards.
KTC possesses state-of-the-art analytical equipment and skilled experts who conduct precise analyses of hygiene products. This capacity enables KTC to effectively fulfill its role as a testing and inspection institution for hygiene products.
President Sungil Ahn of KTC stated, "As a designated testing and inspection institution for hygiene products, we are committed to ensuring the objectivity and reliability of our experimental analyses, thereby contributing to the health and safety of the public."
Meanwhile, KTC is a leading internationally recognized testing and certification institution in South Korea, actively contributing to the safety of consumer products such as water supply materials, food utensils and containers, and household chemical products.
