KTC, the World’s No. 1 Testing Certification Institute Leading the Way to the 4th Industrial Revolution
"Supporting CE Mark Acquisition for European Exports"
"A Strong Force for Korean Manufacturing Companies' European Exports"
On February 27th, Korea Testing Certification institute (KTC) announced its registration as a VDE designated testing laboratory in the electric vehicle charger safety field, significantly enhancing the opportunities for Korean companies to expand their European exports.
VDE, established in Germany in 1893, is a prestigious institution that leads standard testing and certification in Europe's electrical, electronic, and technical industries.
KTC's registration as a VDE designated testing laboratory enables domestic electric vehicle charger manufacturers to obtain the CE mark, a requirement for European exports, more efficiently through KTC's test reports.
With the global surge in electric vehicle demand as a response to the climate crisis, the global electric vehicle charging market is projected to reach a staggering $300 billion by 2029. In light of this growth, KTC is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting the exports of Korean manufacturers to Europe and other regions.
Moreover, KTC has been designated as a Certification Body Testing Laboratory (CBTL) and a designated testing laboratory for UL Solutions in the electric vehicle charger field. This recognition establishes KTC as the leading testing and certification organization in South Korea, facilitating the acquisition of overseas certifications required for exports to major countries worldwide, including Europe, North America, and Asia.
President Sungil Ahn of KTC expressed, "As the electric vehicle charging market undergoes rapid growth during the industry's green transition, we will continue to dedicate our efforts to supporting the overseas exports of our manufacturing companies."
