KTC, the World’s No. 1 Testing Certification Institute Leading the Way to the 4th Industrial Revolution
Korea Testing Certification institute (KTC), under the leadership of President Sungil Ahn, announced the inauguration of the Industrial Skills Council (ISC) for the Mechanical Engineering Industry at the KTC Gyeonggi Business Center in Seongnam City. The opening ceremony took place on April 11th, aiming to establish essential criteria for the development, management, and utilization of human resources in response to the rapidly evolving industrial landscape.
The ISC is a collaborative human resources development support project initiated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. KTC has been appointed as the first representative institution for the ISC among testing and certification organizations, entrusted with overseeing projects in the field of mechanical engineering.
As the Fourth Industrial Revolution unfolds, the mechanical engineering industry is experiencing heightened sophistication and diversification, including the implementation of smart factories. In line with these advancements, KTC has planned a range of activities in the mechanical engineering sector, such as conducting industry workforce surveys, publishing reports on workforce demand and emerging growth trends, and defining job levels and scopes.
These efforts are expected to enable companies to promptly secure the necessary talent, while job seekers will have opportunities to develop their skills and competencies in the mechanical engineering industry.
Vice President Jeong Ki-hoon of KTC emphasized that as the representative institution for the ISC in the mechanical engineering industry, they will establish customized job systems that align with the rapidly changing industrial landscape, thereby contributing to the development of the related industry.
