The Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTC, directed by An Seong-il) announced its participation in the 'BIO KOREA 2024 International Convention' on the 7th.
This event, jointly hosted by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute and Chungcheongbuk-do, will take place over three days from Wednesday, May 8th to Friday, May 10th, at COEX Exhibition Hall in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
Now in its 19th year, the event will operate under the theme 'The Future of Biotechnology Innovation and Global Collaboration' with participation from approximately 230 companies from 21 countries, introducing the latest technological trends and outlooks in the biohealth industry.
For its first participation, KTC will set up an independent booth and provide support to manufacturing and export companies through guidance on medical device licensing processes, overseas certification consultations for medical devices, and various testing and certification services in the biohealth sector.
In particular, in response to the accelerating trend of 'digital transformation' in the biohealth industry, KTC will explore new business opportunities and offer corporate support strategies and services tailored to regulatory requirements of various countries.
Founded in 1969, KTC has been a leading testing and certification organization, offering one-stop testing and certification services in the domestic medical device sector.
KTC was the first in the country to be designated by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in 2013 to classify reagents for in vitro diagnostic analyzers (currently in vitro diagnostic medical devices). Recently, it has selected the biohealth sector as one of its 13 strategic areas and is developing various plans for customized corporate support driven by digital transformation.
Director An Seong-il of KTC said, "The biohealth industry is rapidly evolving and growing through the integration of digital healthcare and AI-based research and development," adding, "Based on 55 years of achievements and experience, we will actively respond to the latest trends and contribute to corporate support and increased exports."
