KTC, the World’s No. 1 Testing Certification Institute Leading the Way to the 4th Industrial Revolution
Customized consultations for 30 solar inverter module companies... Request for testing and certification of products to be launched
Participation in corporate public hearings... Guidance on the latest and practical information on building-integrated photovoltaic generation
▲ At the 21st International Green Energy Expo, KTC representatives are conducting customized consultations for solar inverter and module companies.
The Korea Testing and Certification Institute (KTC, Director An Seong-il) announced on May 12th that it achieved results including requests for testing and certification worth a total of 300 million won for upcoming solar inverter and module products at the '21st International Green Energy Expo & Conference 2024.'
From April 24th to 26th, KTC participated in the '2024 International Green Energy Expo,' held at EXCO in Daegu, hosted by the City of Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province and organized by EXCO, Korea Photovoltaic Industry Association, Korea Renewable Energy Association, Korea Wind Power Industry Association, and Korea Hydrogen Industry Association.
At the expo, KTC promoted its unique testing facilities infrastructure, core competencies in testing and evaluation, and testing and certification services. It also provided domestic certification consultations (KS, KC, etc.) and technical consultations for exports and overseas expansion.
At the expo, KTC showcased solar inverters and Media BIPV products that had completed KS certification tested by KTC.
*Media BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic): A product that combines solar modules and LED media. During the day, it supplies power generated by solar energy to the building, and at night, it displays videos and text through LED media.
Furthermore, KTC conducted customized consultations related to domestic certification procedures and testing and certification services for more than 30 domestic companies involved in solar inverters, modules, and ESS at the expo.
As a result, KTC received requests for KS certification and KC safety certification for about 20 new solar inverter and module products to be launched, totaling 300 million won, establishing a foundation for ongoing business cooperation and revenue generation.
Additionally, KTC participated in a corporate public hearing hosted by the Korea Energy Agency, introducing the latest certification information including the status of standard development for renewable facilities and revisions to KS certification in the renewable sector.
Especially as experts in testing, KTC drew high engagement by providing practical information on building-integrated photovoltaic modules (BIPV).
KTC plans to finalize the procedures for contract signing with companies that have requested new testing and certification, and to continue consulting for new business acquisition.
Director An Seong-il of KTC said, "Participating in this expo allowed us to not only continue our business cooperation with companies but also to verify KTC's core testing evaluation and service capabilities. We are committed to doing our utmost to support the growth of domestic companies and help them expand into foreign markets."
