KTC Partners with CVC to Boost Chinese Exports for Korean Businesses

Korea Testing Certification institute (KTC) has recently entered into a strategic partnership with CVC Certification & Testing Co., Ltd., a leading certification authority in China. This collaboration aims to simplify the process of exporting electrical and electronic products from Korean manufacturers to China by streamlining CCC (China Compulsory Certification) requirements and factory inspections.

CVC Certification & Testing Co. Ltd. stands as a prominent certification and testing organization in China, offering CCC certification marks that significantly impact Chinese exports across diverse sectors such as electronics, telecommunications, healthcare, and renewable energy.

In response to China's strict CCC certification standards for domestically produced, distributed, and imported electrical and electronic products, Korean exporters faced considerable challenges. Sending products to China for testing to obtain CCC certification proved both time-consuming and expensive.

CCC certification not only necessitates product testing but also involves factory inspections conducted by certification examiners. The unpredictable scheduling fluctuations, determined by Chinese certification authorities and examiners, posed significant obstacles, making it difficult for Korean exporters to secure production and delivery schedules.

Through this partnership, domestic manufacturers in the electrical and electronic sectors can obtain CCC certification through CVC without the need to dispatch product samples overseas. Leveraging KTC's internationally recognized test reports, Korean companies can enhance their competitiveness in the Chinese market. Additionally, KTC staff will be registered as CCC factory inspectors, further boosting the competitive edge of Korean exports to China.

Recognizing China as Korea's largest trading partner with a trade volume of 10.5 billion dollars, KTC remains committed to collaborating with CVC. Beyond CCC certification, the partnership will extend to areas such as software (SW), 5G, electric vehicle batteries, chargers, solar modules, inverters, and various other fields.

Ahn Sungil, President of KTC, expressed, "This strategic collaboration aims to support Korean electrical and electronic product exports to China by overcoming the challenges associated with testing and certification. We also intend to explore opportunities with CVC to expand our services to emerging sectors, including electric vehicle batteries, IoT, solar power generation (PV), and semiconductors in the future."

As a leading global testing and certification organization within the domestic certification industry, KTC actively assists small and medium-sized enterprises in overcoming trade barriers such as technological obstacles during their overseas expansion. KTC has inked agreements with 63 organizations in 36 countries to promote international certification. Notably, KTC has established branches and testing centers in Shanghai and Shenzhen, serving as a vital gateway for Korean companies exporting to China.
