KTC to Participate in the 2024 Global Supply Chain Innovation Expo...Actively Supporting Digital Transformation

Promoting tailored consulting and testing/certification and export services to "enhance competitiveness"

The Korea Testing and Research Institute for Electrical and Electronics (KTC, President Ahn Seong-il) announced on the 19th that it will participate in the "2024 Global Supply Chain Innovation Expo."
This event will be held for three days from the 19th to the 21st at COEX Hall C in Samseong-dong, Seoul. It is hosted by the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs, the Korea Technology Finance Corporation, and Xforum, and organized by the Global Supply Chain Innovation Expo Organizing Committee.
Last year, the event was held as the Small and Medium Business Expo for Materials, Parts, and Equipment (SME Expo), but this year, it has been renamed to strengthen the global competitiveness and secure technological sovereignty of the materials, parts, and equipment industries. The event will feature 450 companies and 1,500 booths.
KTC will participate as the representative institution of the Industrial Skills Council (ISC) for the machinery industry to promote its projects.
* Industrial Skills Council (ISC): A human resources development support project jointly supervised by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Industrial Human Resources Development Institute. There are a total of 20 institutions, associations, and organizations participating across various industries, including the machinery industry ISC.
Additionally, KTC will provide customized consulting services for participating companies, including discovering promising areas in the machinery industry and developing job frameworks. They will also recruit companies to participate in consulting for competency-based hiring and in-service training based on the National Competency Standard (NCS).
* National Competency Standard (NCS): A standard that systematizes the necessary conditions for performing tasks in the industrial field by industry and level. It is a human resources development support project jointly supervised by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Industrial Human Resources Development Institute.
Furthermore, KTC plans to promote its performance certification testing services for digital transformation, one-stop support for KS certification testing, and overseas certification support services.
Through participation in this event, KTC expects to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of domestic exporting companies facing digital transformation by facilitating the exchange of the latest information and strengthening networks.
KTC President Ahn Seong-il stated, "Based on our testing and evaluation capabilities, we will accelerate our support for companies' new product development, testing, and certification services in response to changing trends," adding, "We will also actively strive to support systematic human resources development through the operation of the machinery industry ISC."
