The Korea Testing Certification (KTC), led by President Ahn Sung-il, announced on the 25th that they will implement a "Pilot Test Service" at the 'Well Sleep Fair 2024,' providing free customized product validation for sleep product companies that apply on-site.
The support service includes validating the effectiveness of sleep products that are either released or set to be released, as well as providing customized consulting to enhance market competitiveness.
From June 27 to 29, KTC participated in the 'Well Sleep Fair 2024' held at Songdo Convensia in Incheon for three days, where they promoted ▲the only sleep verification facility infrastructure in domestic testing institutions ▲recruited companies for pilot testing ▲presented at a conference related to sleep product verification and safety evaluation ▲conducted surveys on corporate demands in the areas of sleep verification, usability, and transportation/SW validation.
During the exhibition, KTC engaged in consultations with various companies, confirming high interest in the pilot test service. They gathered feedback from over 20 companies interested in utilizing KTC’s testing infrastructure, exploring ways to establish a validation system to invigorate the sleep industry. KTC plans to strengthen customized support services for sleep companies, verifying the effectiveness and quality of various products and actively supporting their market entry.
Additionally, at the conference held on June 28, KTC's Sleep Industry Promotion Center Director, Kim Jae-hwan, presented on "Sleep Product Verification and Safety Evaluation," highlighting the importance of the verification process and safety evaluation of sleep products, which garnered significant interest from companies.
Furthermore, KTC plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the event organizer, the Korea Sleep Industry Association, to mutually cooperate on ▲operating educational programs for training sleep experts ▲establishing group standards related to sleep verification ▲activating testing and certification services.
As the only comprehensive support organization for the sleep industry in Korea, KTC’s Sleep Industry Promotion Center actively performs tasks to ensure the safety and effectiveness of sleep products through standardization and testing/certification services for emerging sleep products. They plan to enhance cooperation with related companies and institutions and expand overseas certification services.
KTC President Ahn Sung-il stated, "Our participation in this exhibition allowed us to confirm our unique capabilities in sleep verification evaluation and services, as well as foster ongoing collaboration with companies. We will continue to support the growth of domestic sleep companies and strive to revitalize the sleep industry ecosystem through strengthened industry-academia-research-hospital collaboration networks and expanded export support to overseas markets."
