The application documents and related forms for the products subject to safety confirmation requirements

The application documents to request electrical appliance safety confirmation
  • 1. Safety confirmation test application
  • 2. Safety confirmation report
  • 3. A business registration certificate or equivalent
  • 4. Product manual (including a user manual)
  • 5. Electrical circuit drawing and part list
  • 6. A power of attorney (if the application is submitted by an agent)
  • 7. A sample of the safety certification mark
  • 8. Related parts (parts which are electrical appliances subject to the safety confirmation requirements or electrical appliances subject to the safety certification requirements that have not completed the reporting or certification processes)
  • 9. Test samples: one (or the required quantities as set forth in the applicable safety standard)
The quantity of the samples necessary for electrical appliance safety confirmation
  • One unit of the products to be tested (one more if the applicant wishes to get the certification for electromagnetic wave conformance.)
    ※ You may be requested to submit more samples as per the safety standard.
  • One unit of the electrical appliance to be tested that is used as a part or component of the main product to be certified
  • The test parts of materials (if necessary)

  • Safety confirmation test application
  • Safety confirmation report
  • A business registration certificate or equivalent
  • A power of attorney (if the application is submitted by an agent)
  • Product manual
  • The shop drawings for the mechanical and electrical designs and other technical documents (only for those applicable to Item 3, Paragraph C, Section 2 of Table 2)
  • The ingredients and mixing ratio of the product (only for the products in Items 2) and 4) under Paragraph A, Section 2 of Table 4, including the items of the same model with the product of the application but of different ingredients.)
  • This applies only to the materials that are included in the products of application (Items 2) and 4) under Paragraph A, Section 2 of Table 4), including the cases where the models are the same, but the ingredients are different.
  • Documentary proofs of identical products (only applicable when there is more than one factory that makes the same product.)
  • A sample of safety confirmation mark
